Meet The Owner

My name is Taylor! I am the owner of Jackson June Outfitters. I am also the buyer, the social media marketing manager, the shipping department, the intake department, the customer service department….. basically I do it all! Let me give y’all a little story about our name! Our name is a symbol of how important family is to me, and how I want everyone to feel inclusive. Jackson came from my Papaw. His last name was Jackson. I always had a very special relationship with him, being that I was his only granddaughter. June is a very special month; not only is it my birth month, but it is also the birth month of a few important people in my life. Outfitters came from an old family business that my parents had when I was younger. (I grew up literally, in that business, and it is one of the main things I remember throughout my childhood.) I knew that I wanted it to be very neutral when it came to picking out a name because eventually I see us carrying everything under the sun and being able to provide items for any & every one!

When I started Jackson June 3 years ago I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew that my intention was to help people. My first year and a half in business was not the best. I was very new to this retail world, I was working another job part time, and I was trying to focus on what Jackson June needed from me. Last year was a real turning point in my business. I got very serious about my goals and the future I saw for JJO. There was a shift not only in my mind, but in my heart as well. As I grew up, I would always go into boutiques and small retail stores, and I loved feeling of walking into such a cute business. There were so many small details that really made the place feel special. I fell in love with the idea of what a boutique “could be”. I dreamed endlessly about what my business would look like if I were to create one and all of the things I would do differently. If I am being very honest, I did not like the culture that surrounded a “boutique” back then. I came to realize that most of the boutiques were not size inclusive, they mainly carried small, medium, & large. IF they had any curvy sizing it was very basic and just not flattering at all.

So my mission began to create a culture of inclusiveness for all. I want Jackson June to be more than a shopping experience; I want it to be a culture. A community of authenticity, unlimited beliefs, worthiness, self love, and so much more. I want you to feel comfortable being unapologetically yourself. We are our biggest critics. We judge ourselves everyday. There has to be a point where we just stop being the judge and find peace with who we are. I want you to know that you are so loved. You are enough. In every single way, you are enough just as you are. My hope and my prayer is that you lose those limiting beliefs and know that you can do anything. It takes courage to just simply be yourself, and I will always be here to encourage you to do just that. Over the next few months, we will be rolling out some new branding. If you have ordered anything within the last month, you have probably seen the new look of our packaging. That is just the start of it, and I can’t wait for all of you to see what I have up my sleeve for Jackson June. Thank you all for your continued support.
